Often we (are forced to) deliver a product that is not fully operational to our own knowledge or does not match our customer’s expectations. Quality has been pushed to the back-seat in today’s competitive world and the focus is to just to deliver, not deliver good quality products.
A simple analogy to explain why I believe this is bad for organizations. Given most factors are equal are you more likely to go to a restaurant which serves good quality food or to one that does not?
We all have very few chances to impress our customers in this competitive world. One bad impression can take all the glory away. It is always simpler to do something right than spend all the time later explaining why it went wrong.
